That alone with the shaving sets was worth the ride. Twice! lol I took my best friend back and she used the rest of my $2 off coupons on the Titanium Shaving Sets. She picked up 4 of those and 1 Intuition set.

Good luck to all hitting the after Christmas specials and deals. Hope you hit great buys like me!

I did my weekly shopping adventure at Target yesterday! It was fun and exhilarating finding such deals.

Attention Target Shoppers had a similiar scenario to the below but our store didn’t have the Ortega seasoning but I needed shells:

CVS 9/30

by ~kat on Oct.01, 2008, under coupons, cvs, money savings

I also hit CVS yesterday, I REALLY like CVS! Those people were SO helpful! Along with the fact I saw some other psycho coupon ladies as Wags calls us shopping. I find myself slightly jealous by their organization. They seriously had scrapbook type binders all organized with there coupons. It was AMAZING to watch.

Colgate Total Toothpaste 2/$5
Gillette Fusion Power Razor $9.99
Covergirl Foundation $5.49
Covergirl Foundation $5.99
Covergirl Lipslick $3.89
Covergirl Lipslick b1g1 50% off $1.94
7 Dawn Dish Soap - $.99 each
5 Dawn Hand Care - $.99 each
Subtotal: $49.18

Coupons Used:
Colgate Total Toothpaste - 2/$1.50
7 Dawn Ultra for a total of - $2.75
5 Dawn Hand Care - 5/$1
Covergirl - 1/$1
Covergirl - 1/$3.89
Gillette Fusion - 1/$4
— not sure what she did here but for 2 B1G1 free covergirl coupons she entered $9.99 discount —
Instore discounts of: $6.04

After Coupons & Taxes: $16.98
ECB’s for my next purchase: $5.79 + $5.00 + $2.00
Total OOP for my first CVS run: $4.19

Totally not complaining here!

The bridge didn’t collapse!

by ~kat on Sep.30, 2008, under coupons, family, money savings, weather

I did it, I’m so proud of myself!  I crossed the bridge and it didn’t collapse. haha!  Inside joke for anyone who lives in Door County.  Most of us rarely cross the bridge, but I did today!

Was a long journey that started off slow and on the wrong foot.  Got almost to town and yikes, I realized I forgot my CVS card.  Go figure right?  I also forgot I had a backup card in my wallet.  Go figure again!  So I drop 10 miles BACK to my house to get my card.

Then I got to the bridge to find it up, yes up!  Why is it whenever I do decide to go across it, some fool decides he needs to take his back ass sailboat under it.  Mind you it’s like 50 degrees IF that on land, I can’t imagine what it was out on open water.  People, 99% of them are nutcases.

So anyways, I finally made it to Green Bay.  Store 1 Walgreens!  Rude people I swear totally rude.  Cashier didn’t smile didn’t acknowledge me at the register.  I swear between our local walgreens and the ones in GB today … it must be a prerequisite to be rude and not smile.  They all want to argue about what coupons I could use and what I couldn’t … see this is when those corp emails come in REAL handy.  Fun fun to teach a manager his own job.

Then off to my second walgreens, little easier, little friendlier by about .05%.  Got my things and practically ran out of the store.  This store though wanted to argue about a KY Intrigue $5 printed coupon.  Telling me it’s not possible to use the store coupon (it was $5 off) and then my manf coupon (another $5 off) for a total of $10 off a $19.99 product.  Uhm YEAH you can! Sheesh greedy little turds.

Then off to my third walgreens, yes third, I too am a tidbit insane.  Got my things again ran out of the store, ofcourse, after a 20 minute disagreement about how to use coupons AGAIN.  This time I lost.  Couldn’t buy 2 P&G products and use a $8 register reward from P&G and then two more $2 off coupons for only 3 products.  If I’d have bought another P&G the coupons would have all gone through.  Eh learning lesson, won’t be doing that again!

That’s it for now it’s 10:46 CST time and I’m cold and ready for bed!  Tomorrow I’ll share the rest of my adventure … tick tock!
