Election Results…Did you watch?
by ~kat on Nov.05, 2008, under politics
I tried desperately to stay awake and watch the results. My 11 year old son had to fill in a map with the results and each state’s electoral numbers. I tried I really did, so did he!
First thing this morning I jumped on ABC News to see what happened. WOW Obama won by huge numbers. It’s awesome!
I am proud to say I am an American. That the people spoke and we put a man of peace and change into the White House. I never thought in my lifetime I would see an African American in the white house. It’s historical!
Welcome to the new America! Where peace & change is our future. Where the world sat in silence waiting for the results. It’s amazing to see the responses from all over the world. It’s a true testament of how we the United States needed to change.
It’s here …
Get out and vote!
by ~kat on Nov.04, 2008, under politics
Here in Wisconsin they are expecting a 72% turnout on voting.
Come on people, get your butt’s out of bed and go vote! 72% isn’t good enough!
We need everyone to vote.
I already voted at 7:03am with my boys. They were a little shocked that Mama took them with but I thought they needed to see the process. First thing my 11year old said was “you voted Obama? Right mom?” hehe trained him well.
I explained how historical this day is to them and let them walk through the entire process. Very cool and fun!
Obama 2008

Since I don’t do bumper stickers on my car, I figured I’d post one here in my support of Obama! He preaches of change and we definitely could use a bit around this country. Let’s just hope he holds true to his promises.
I pledge my support for Obama!

and reason why I chose Obama because this bumper sticker … literally says it all!
